• Math 6 (Periods 1 and 3): In Math 6, Mrs. DeFilippis and I introduce Pre-Algebra skills while reinforcing basic math skills.  Students work in small groups frequently to collaborate with both peers and teachers to enhance their math skills.  We utilize programs such as Envision Math 2.0, Xtra Math, and IXL Math to provide enrichment and reteaching as needed.     Science (Periods 6 and 7): In 6th grade Science, Mrs. Morgan and I use the Amplify program to teach science concepts such as Force in Motion, Magnetic Fields, and Phase Changes, among others. Students use their Chromebooks on a daily basis to engage with the science material using 21st century skills.  Hands on activities and digital simulations help science to come alive for students.  Students work collaboratively to grasp complex science concepts and set goals to improve their science writing throughout the year.  Please email me at nicolelamarca@mersnj.us with any questions.
